The New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education scheduled roll-call votes to ratify a five-year labor contract with the district's support staff union and to appoint a new board member to fill a vacancy.
The June 1 contract, covering the New Trier Education Support Professionals Association from 2026 through 2031, affects paraeducators and other support professionals who work directly with students on IEPs and 504 plans at both the Winnetka campus (385 Winnetka Ave.) and the Northfield freshman campus (7 Happ Road).
Families in Winnetka, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Glencoe, and Northfield who rely on paraeducator support are directly affected by the agreement's terms.
The district has not posted the contract publicly. Wage rates, benefit changes, and staffing ratios remain unknown.
The agenda also listed a roll-call vote to fill a board vacancy. The 2025-26 board consisted of President Jean Hahn, Vice President Sally Tomlinson, Kimberly Alcantara, Avik Das, Joo Serk Lee, Courtney McDonough, and Sally Pofcher. Which member departed, and who was appointed to replace them, has not appeared in public records.
Superintendent Peter Tragos presented a draft 2026-27 Annual Plan for first review. The board received Construction Report #11 on the Winnetka Campus North and Tower Building project via consent agenda.
Meeting minutes confirming vote outcomes have not been posted. Residents can request the NESPA contract, annual plan draft, and construction report through a FOIA submission at newtrier.k12.il.us.
The board's next meeting is Monday, July 13, 2026, at 7 Happ Road, Room C234, Northfield.
